The London Eye (a giant Ferris wheel) is located on the South Bank of the River Thames.
It is 135m (443 ft) tall and has a diameter of 120m (394 ft). When erected in 1999 it was the worlds tallest Ferris Wheel. It has since been surpassed by other wheels and it is currently (2014) Europe's tallest Ferris wheel.
